How/Where Can I Apply For Free School Meals?

You can now apply for Free School Meals online at www.redbridge.gov.uk,
over the telephone by contacting the Awards Team on 0208 708 3114/ 3561
or by visiting the One Stop Shop in Lynton House, 255-259 High Road, Ilford, Essex, IG1 1NN.

What Information Will I Need To Provide?

You may not need to provide proof of benefit as the Department for Education (DfE) has provided the
local Authority with an online Free School Meals (FSM) eligibility checking service (ECS). This allows them to verify if parents/carers applying for FSM meet the eligibility criteria. The FSM ECS is only used for checking Free School Meals eligibility as part of an application for FSM.

Should proofs be required, the Awards Team will write to you to request proof of benefit received (as listed above).
